Intimate Apparel Senior Thesis
"The Decadent" is a lingerie collection inspired by Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations for the 18th-century story “The Rape of the Lock.” The collection takes inspiration from the sweet and delicate 18th-century Rococo style of the story with a twist of eroticism and decadence from Beardsley’s drawings. Features intricate details to draw in the eye, such as the signature heart locket to keep mementos of one’s lover. This collection has been featured in FIT's Future of Fashion Show and Vogue Runway.

Look One
This lovely three-piece set includes a bra, bloomers, and an under-bust corset, all perfectly coordinated. The bra is made of delicate pink silk charmeuse with ruched chiffon cups and a lace trim that ties at the center with a charming gold heart locket. The matching pink chiffon bloomers feature lace trim with ribbon at the hem and an adjustable side ties. The under-bust corset, made of a base of silk wool and coutil, is adorned with layers of grey lace and pleated tulle, which are placed and hand-stitched on top of the base. The corset is boned throughout, with a front busk and back lacing.

Look Two
This playful two-piece set consists of a soft bra and panty that perfectly match a boudoir robe. The bandeau soft bra is crafted from green stretch lace and features a unique lace-trimmed elastic. It also boasts a center front keyhole with a bow, a gold heart locket charm, and a gold clasp closure at the back. The matching high-waisted panties are made from mauve sheer netting with green lace appliqued on. With lace-trimmed elastic applied on the sheer netting to create a caged look. The set also includes removable ruffle garters. The boudoir robe is made from printed chiffon with a pattern reminiscent of Beardsley's illustrations. It has a front tie closure, a high-low silhouette, and puff sleeves.
